Capturenaut Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Capturenaut by Gov Revenue Lab ("Capturenaut," "we," "us"), including capturenaut.com and the Capturenaut app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you can accept these Terms on its behalf.
1. Beta service
The Service is in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable at times. We may end the beta or change the Service at any time.
2. Informational only, not legal advice
The Service provides general information, reminders, and checklists, including SAM.gov registration reminders, "what to file to bid here" checklists, and bid/no-bid scores. This information is not legal, tax, accounting, or procurement advice. No attorney-client or other professional relationship is created. Government rules, deadlines, and forms change. Some content may be marked "draft" or "unverified" and may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm requirements with the government agency or entity that sets them, such as SAM.gov or the relevant state or city office, and consult a qualified professional when needed. Capturenaut has no relationship with, and is not endorsed by, any government agency, including the City of New York.
3. No guarantee of contract awards
We do not guarantee that you will win any contract, grant, or award, that any opportunity will be issued, or that you will keep any registration or certification. Scores such as "Go / Maybe / No-go" are estimates to help you decide, not predictions or promises. You are solely responsible for your bids, filings, deadlines, and business decisions.
4. No contingent success fees
We do not charge success fees, commissions, or any fee based on or contingent on you winning a government contract or award. Any fees for the Service are flat subscription fees disclosed before you pay. During the beta, no paid plans are offered unless we tell you otherwise in writing before you are charged.
5. Your account
You can sign in with a link we email you or with your email and a password. Keep your credentials secure and your information accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: misuse or disrupt the Service; access it by automated means beyond normal use; attempt to bypass security; resell it without permission; upload unlawful content or content you have no right to share; or use it to violate any law, including procurement integrity, ethics, or anti-bribery rules.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the information you enter, such as your profile, dates, and notes. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party links and services
The Service links to third-party sites, including SAM.gov, government portals, and other Gov Revenue Lab products such as FOIAScout. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services. FOIAScout is a separate product with its own terms.
9. Emails
We send service emails such as sign-in links, reminders, and digests. You can turn off the digest and reminders in your settings or unsubscribe from marketing email anytime. Updates about other Gov Revenue Lab products are sent only if you opt in.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. A missed or late reminder is not our responsibility.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST CONTRACTS, MISSED DEADLINES, OR LOST DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or the law.
13. Ending use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we end the beta.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
16. Language
These Terms are provided in English and Spanish. If there is any conflict between versions, the English version governs.
